    You can't do upfront medicals. You need the invitation from VO to do the medicals. That's the only way the hospital can upload the results to VO. The only thing you can do is to do medicals to make sure you are fine.

    I am also on 2174...NDVO has been very slow with 2174. You can check the spreadsheet (link below my post) and see which date are they processing for 2174. I am a May 20th applicant and I submitted my passports for stamping just 10 days back. So you will need a lot of patience after each line...

    Yes...you can apply for gcms notes without informing your consultant. I believe you need a Canadian address to receive them.
