Travel to US after oath **

You will not be able to re-enter Canada, since your PR card will be retained at the Oath occasion. Check this thread: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/travel-after-oath-t380099.0.html

Decision made since 2 month , oath unknown still , Montreal office anyone same

That's also what they told me (my test was october 21st), but 17 days later I got my oath invitation. And I bet yours is on its way in the next few days. That's what I don't understand.

Decision made since 2 month , oath unknown still , Montreal office anyone same

Looks like all may/june applicants are passing ahead of all others, including 2014 applicants. I cannot even imagine why this is happening. It's clearly not a "first come, first serve" basis. Maybe they completely changed their workflow for a more efficient one, but only the applications...

    Decision Made after Test?

Aloha. I know I'm super late to the topic, but I would like to give my input. The "Decision Made" status varies a lot from office to office. I'm at Montreal Office and my "Decision Made" status appeared precisely 2 days after my test. That's about the average here in Montreal. But I also know...

Applying for citizenship after 21 years with PR card. How to keep track of days?

I agree. Make yourself a request for CBSA report. It takes only 30 days and can clarify a lot about one's entries in Canada. It will be very useful to build up the residency calculator (together with the FOIA and passport stamps). You can also check the i-94 for USA entries. But I warn you that...

Applying for Passport: who can be a "Reference"?

Aloha folks! I've been reading about the process to apply for passport. It is very clear on CIC website who the Guarantor has to be. But, when it comes to the References, one line confused me a little: [i]References must: [i]Have known you for at least two years [i]Cannot be family members...

    Travel after oath.

Based on what I've been reading on this issue, you would be able to fly to US using your other passport and VISA, but most definitely you wouldn't be able to fly back do Canada unless you have a multiple entries Canadian visa there (what you probably don't). Looks like the reasoning behind this...

    may 2015 applicants for citizenship

I was about to ask which one was it, but than I remembered that we cannot disclose the questions of the test. As for my test, all the content of it was indeed in the Discover Canada booklet. I was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay overly prepared for it so it was very easy. So easy I had to stay 5 more minutes...

Which places to notify about the change of status after being a Canadian Citizen

That's correct. A canadian citizen with a valid canadian passport does not need any kind of visa to enter USA. About you second question... I'm no expert, but I cannot see any reason why you should inform the border officers about your old passport. For them, what's relevant is your current...

Ask to appear on test, still under peace bond period, Does it affect Citizenship

THANK YOU!!!! What the hell? If proven guilty these people should be in jail, and not just under a peace bond. And most definitely not getting their citizenship. I guess people didn't read very well the Discover Canada booklet. Here is an extract from the very first pages of it: "In Canada...

Ask to appear on test, still under peace bond period, Does it affect Citizenship

I mean it! Is everyone OK with the fact that we are dealing with (probably) wife beaters?!?!?!

    may 2015 applicants for citizenship

If I'm not mistaken the reason fro fingerprints usually is because of a common name. Yes, it is non-routine now. But don't worry. For what I've been reading in this forum, even people who were requested the fingerprints did not have a delay in their process of more than a couple of weeks.

Ask to appear on test, still under peace bond period, Does it affect Citizenship

Are we not addressing the fact that we are talking to violent people here?

DO NOT APPLY WITH LESS THAN 1095 DAYS (READ MINE)

Well... under the new provisions you absolutely cannot apply with less than the required days, anyway. It's not even analyzed.

    may 2015 applicants for citizenship

Don't worry. the delay to change the online status doesn't mean necessarily anything. I've seen people in the forum who are already Canadian citizens and their e-CAS is still showing "In Process". The missing stamps or record also don't mean necessarily anything. Many people here have missing...

Refugee status cessation and PRs applying for citizenship

Although I agree that the practical effects of this policy might be very draconian, I can see why it is this way, at least in theory. Refugee is a VERY serious status. Refugees are not people seeking for a better life. They are people seeking to survive. If that is the case, and PR was granted...
