I'm guessing January/February for most of us - that's what the agent told me when I last spoke to them over the phone in November! :O

Marrying a Canadian during CEC application?

Hey all, Was wondering if anyone's been in a similar boat before? I'm a few months into my CEC application (AOR October 16) and I'm expecting to receive the golden email in the next few months. However, I'm getting married in March to a Canadian citizen. Will that have an impact on my...

Worked Full Time before applying PGWP.

It was a genuine mistake for myself and for many others. We're not rubbing our hands together trying to sneak our way into work permits etc. There are some who hide information on purpose etc. but no one would willingly go out of their way to jeopardise their future.

Worked Full Time before applying PGWP.

That's what I was told also - just explain yourself, apologise for your mistake, promise to not do it again. It's unfair for one small incident to completely throw out your future (especially when we've paid so much for schooling here!) and Canadian's are known to be kind. Best of luck! :)

Worked Full Time before applying PGWP.

Please be kind in your responses. There have been many cases of people being allowed to stay and given PR. Have a search through the forums and you'll find the same question asked many times - often with the response that if you own up to your mistakes, immigration officers are more lenient. At...

Worked Full Time before applying PGWP.

Don't give up hope! A lot of us have been in this boat, unfortunately. I'm still waiting on the outcome of my PR application - AOR is Oct 16. I've heard that the CIC staff are forgiving for students as a ton of us have made this mistake... fingers crossed that they'll be lenient and forgive us...

Anyone's application got processed in Edmonton visa office?

I'm not sure, all I know is what the officer on the phone said... and he could've been wrong. I haven't heard a single thing since my RPRF request in November. Fingers crossed we both get PR quickly! :)

I called them today! My previous application was returned as incomplete 2 days after I paid RPRF, so I was on edge and wanted to check that everything was okay. :p This application seems to be going a lot smoother!

    Working before Implied Status

Same! I've been here since 2015 and have never gone against my permits/worked without authorisation before... Really hopping that they overlook this as it's only a few weeks of work that we did... Are you putting a LOE together? I've heard that it's best practice to beg them for forgiveness but...
