    Online citizenship test

We considered that but it seems that one needs a very serious reason to be considered for a postponement. Like a death in the family, etc.

    Online citizenship test

If someone happens to be out of the country visiting family or what have you two years after applying and then finally gets a test invite out of the blue, and the entry requirements to return happen to have become exceedingly onerous then it seems reasonable that a consulate could grant a...

Take the online citizenship test at Canadian consulate abroad?

Actually one is not required to quarantine in a hotel if entering Canada by land. This is clearly stated on the government of Canada websites. But a quarantine plan is required. PCR tests are administered at the border and they give you another kit to take home for day 10 of the quarantine.

You're right. I stand corrected. Thanks. And thanks to the rest for your constructive comments. I particularly like the U-Haul idea. We'll look into it.

Thanks for the advice. What's an "UP?" And you mention some social media material that could be helpful. Could I trouble you for links?

You're probably right. And I was corrected on the thread that I linked to. A Canadian consulate is not on Canadian soil. We will be flying back.

The exam could also be taken inside the quarantine hotel. But that's not the point.

    April 2019 applications

My wife is an April 2019 Vancouver applicant and had her in-person test scheduled for April 2020 and it was, of course, canceled like all the others. Her case is not urgent. She received her online test invite a few days ago and has a window from April 5-25. We are currently abroad and working...

    Online citizenship test

Well, let's see... How about the $2,000, 3-day hotel quarantine? And PCR testing three times? And a 14-day quarantine? I didn't mention that we also have a young baby. How is it "breaking the system" if it's legal and technically within compliance?

Take the online citizenship test at Canadian consulate abroad?

Since the online citizenship exam must be taken while physically on Canadian soil, how about if one were to take the exam while in a Canadian consulate? Suppose the consulate were to sign a paper certifying that the person was physically present during the exam? Me and my wife are abroad and...

Do you have to take the online test IN CANADA?

How about this scenario: take the test at a Canadian embassy or consulate abroad. Technically if you are inside a consulate you are on Canadian Soil. Has anyone explored this possibility?

Citizenship test: Collective action required, or expect endless delays, years. Example of the effective lobbyng of people awaiting spousal sponsorship

Some minor problems with the above template: the word "Permanent" is misspelled in the above template. My spellchecker also flags "cancelled" and recommends only one "l." The first iteration of the word "have" that occurs twice in the first sentence of the second paragraph should be replaced...

    Leaving Canada after submitting application

As harirajmohan says above, the officer will not care whether or not you are using a paid service. If they ask whether it is your home address you can tell them that it is your permanent mailing address since your home address changes from time to time.

    Leaving Canada after submitting application

As for maintaining a mailbox in Canada, one of these services may prove useful. I use one in the USA for my business and love it. Every time they receive a piece of mail someone scans it and I receive a notification and link via email. https://www.yoreoyster.com/blog/virtual-mailbox/

Hopefully they put together an online test, continue the virtual oath ceremonies, and keep it that way for the foreseeable future.
