    IDP IELTS tougher than British Council

    yes the IDP books are extremely hard, after giving first couple of tests you feel like giving up but don't ignore them, you'll thank them later. The actual tests are much much easier but if you do the IDP practice tests and score about 6.5-7 then you can be sure to do great on the actual test.

    I'd say check your score on CRS and decide for yourself if you need some extra points. You can just apply and wait for couple of draws to inspect the trend and then if you need try and improve your score.
