Hello, I wanted to know how to start the OCI process for Childs Canadian passport. Should we take photo first at BLS and then scan and upload together with thumb imp on gov.in site with application? After that we submit originals at BLS office?

The child is in Canada. If we plan to visit India every year it is 85$ for visitor visa per visit... which into 20 years will cost 85$ X 20 .... but if I get OCI, it will cost 425$ plus 43$ every 5 years so it makes sense to get OCI. Pls correct me if I am wrong ?

I agree with your comments @harirajmohan . Something that i just noticed after COVID, CIC started processing the applications mainly for ON and AB. It usually doesn't depend on the city. This might be just a wild guess from me. Someone just received AOR from Feb, June applicants are just 4months...

@srusht It should take not more than 6months from my understanding keeping the current COVID situation in mind.. which city are you from? Receiving AOR depends on the city you live in as well.
