    AUGUST 2020 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

Did you try to get the temporary application number as discussed in this thread? I feel positive about the announcement. Should speed up things for us. Also are you considering visitor visa and then applying work permit if needed? That’s some option I have been thinking while waiting.

Last time I called them a month or so back, they said I will get application number in couple of months. I am going to submit a representative form through webform and then call them. I had mailed one but doesn’t seem like they read it yet and wouldn’t respond to me over webform.

Looks like if Outland spouse got biometrics during primary sponsor PR process, would not need to do biometrics again. Something which would speed up processing time...

For inland you just need to mail photos and CoPR PDF printout to the mentioned address to get PR card. You get within a month or so.

My husband has a open work permit visa stamping based on my past work permit - I am a recent PR. I wish they let him use that visa in case of emergency as US immigration situation is not good for H1 holders and he has a renewal coming up. Once I have AOR I think it may be easy to talk to IRCC...

Even people who have work permit seems to be having issues getting visa to come in. I think there is atleast one member in this forum stuck in this situation for couple of months, and I know two folks we hired from USA who has the same problem too. However I heard that if you are an immediate...

Yeah Jan for AOR plus one year for decision seems right as per the current AOR timing and processing times. I heard how amidst COVID we could bring spouse in visitor visa for family reunification and when they are here apply for open work permit. Not sure whether it changes them inland at that...

Even for inland this could stay this way for couple of months with no action. See whether there is an assigned due date. But there are Outland folks who have been even approved and waiting without COPR/PPR.
