I applied on July 04,2018. Has no news other than the acknowledgement letter. My application is still “application received “ status. Taking too long nowadays my lawyer said especially if your application is not about the best interest of a child or you’re in dangerous situations.

I guess it’s normal. You will not hear anything from them for the next 12 months or so. My case was 14 months already and still processing. Keep hoping ❤️

I was used and abused by my first employer when I came to Canada for work and hardships I have to face if I go back home due to differences in political opinions and religious.

I’m in the same situation. I had to work cash job to survive and I was honest about it in my application. They know you were/are working cash job but I guess they keep one eye closed because they understand you need to survive and support yourself. Anyways best of luck!
