I was never sent any letter when the second portion began. My ECAS status quietly changed and that was that. I eventually filed a query to retrieve the CAIPS and GCMS notes on our case but even that took a month (filed Sep 13, response arrived Oct 13). If it would put your mind at ease, why not...

The system is opaque to me. The documents (a scan of a printed hard copy, sadly) lists the Application # and the Status as "closed".
