Also although I am a Canadian citizen i am considered a non-resident of Canada now because I have been living and working in Mexico since 2008. Apart from family and friends I have no ties to Canada eg. house,car,bank account. Does that make our ties to return to Mexico then stronger than to Canada?

But that is what will happen. For the moment we just want to go for a vacation. When we come back to Mexico then we will start the residency process. Will showing a letter from my employer here and the fact that we have a car here and apartment rental help to show our ties to Mexico?

Now as for showing ties to Mexico. She isn't working now as I make enought money for both of us. Would a letter from my company stating that I have a steady job here help? She owns a car. Would the deed for the car help? Showing her investments here in Mexico. Would that help?
