I had no choice to pay the $340 because all the doctors were at the same hospital. I think it's this price because western doctors are rarer in China and therefor more expensive

Don’t they ask for your birth certificate showing her name ? This would confirm it immediately. There should be some form of proof of relationship they ask for. You birth certificate should suffice

It wouldn’t matter if your mother was married on your birth certificate and you are stating she is single now. If it mattered, they would ask if she is divorced and ask fir the divorce papers or new marriage papers

This happened to me also. I believe the barcode just tells Canada immigration the document was realou validated. It could be tied to what you write, but I don’t believe so because it also changed when I didn’t write anything new. I wouldn’t stress about this
