It is kinda scary when there is no update on the file for 22 days!

Dear seniors, I received my AOR on Dec. 1 under FSW. Since then no single update on my file. My spouse has received an ITA under CEC. Should I withdraw my application? Is it faster to apply under CEC than FSW? How do I go about withdrawing an application. Please advice.

Today is day 22 post-AOR for me: no single update on my profile!!! Sad >:( >:(

Today is day 19 after AOR, no single update on my profile, medical "not needed at this time", background check "not needed at this time": is this normal? Kinda looks strange and scary!

Option one is a good idea! Never lose hope! Never!!

I and my spouse had same experience. we were both successful in our re-evaluation, although it was in speaking. So you never can tell.

Trump's presidency will surely have some impact on Canadian immigration. Canada is already preparing for a wave of possible immigration from the US. I guess the impact would likely show in a higher CRS going forward.

I think you have a better chance with IELTS. It is pretty difficult "speaking" to a computer in CELPIP.

I am in a similar situation. I did my medicals in March for an ITA that was ultimately declined. I asked the Call Agent if we can use it or do a fresh medical. He advised we should use it. AOR received Dec. 1, 2016. No update since then. I wonder if the medicals has anything to do with it

How does that really help when the CRS has increased in the past 2 draws? It is giving with one hand and taking with the other!

But it doesn't make sense for CIC to increase the CRS right after claiming to "help" int'l students.

I wonder what the fuss about helping int'l students was all about! The new draw doesn't seem to make any difference. Last CRS before the "changes" was 472, int'l students get btw 15-30 extra. latest CRS 497! How did that really "help"?
