An update for me: my citizenship test was updated to completed in the tracker on Apr 11, 2022.

In the citizenship test invitation PDF I received, there were specific instructions on what to do if you are outside of Canada. I assume these instructions will be included in everyone's test invitations.

I passed my test online today. Unfortunately, I had the PDF with the test information/instructions open, which I forgot to close before I started the actual test...so now I'm worried I might get disqualified :( I read somewhere else though that if they detect something they will give you a pop...

Update: Dec 20 - Background verification status has been updated to Completed It now says: "Your citizenship application status: In progress"

According to the citizen application status website in the application history section: September 22, 2021 - We have received your application and have begun to process your application. Is that the "in progress ECAS" date on the spreadsheet? If so, can it please be updated for me? Thank you!

She no longer has implied status because the application was returned and is now out of status because her other work permit is expired. Look up "restoration of temporary resident status" and see if you could possibly restore her status since it's only been 30 days and you can restore up to 90...

I'm not sure...I didn't check ECAS during my application process. You can see my general timeframe in my signature though!

If they told you your application is good, you just need to be patient and wait for them to finish processing. I know it's hard but try not to stress out about it - you're still well within the 12 month timeframe.

Most likely the eligibility passed letter. I got the COPR letter (directly via email) but ECAS only mentions the eligibility passed letter.

They give a timeline of about 12 months so until that has passed, there's no sense in being stressed out about it. Different agents processing applications, different circumstances, different countries the PA is from...it all factors into different timelines for everyone.

If it helps - I received AIP and COPR interview but never got anything regarding SA although it does say DM on ECAS for both.

Going to university might be an option (expensive but not as crazy like in the states), then you can get a post-graduate work permit, then you can apply for family class sponsorship. That way you can live together and have a lot of time to start prepping for spousal sponsorship (being together...

I've visited my family multiple times with my PGWP and never had a problem. I didn't even realize there could be issues with re-entry until just now reading people's advice to not leave...now I'm definitely staying put until my PR process is complete. Maybe they can come up and visit you instead?
