Still haven’t got ours yet but we did get the email asking for additional documents which gave us assurance that they are looking at our case. Submitted those yesterday. Seen a few people have it come through a month after AOR. Let’s stay positive :)

They urge you to upload them “as soon as possible” so I doubt they will just let them sit there. A lot of people get asked for additional documents :)

But will they continue with SA/MR etc?

So we sent in the requested additional documents yesterday and still no update that it’s received but on GC it says “uploaded to IRCC”. So anyone know how long it takes them to review these and let you know? We got AOR on March 21st

Thanks Josh. Just had a read. Looks like as you said, straight forward cases get sent there. Hoping that ours is classed as that!

Thanks for your information. I’m the PA and from the UK but in Canada on a work permit. My partner is Canadian Citizen. Im sure that once they have reviewed the additional information, things will start moving :)

We have been together 2 years and lived with each other 18 months. We’ve sent a lot of proof off of our relationship so I’m sure it will be fine :)

They encourage people that are common law to apply so I know it’s not an issue, but completely understand why they need more proof! I’m hoping it won’t delay the process, but I guess we will find out. Once they have this additional information, I can’t see it slowing anything down! :)

We are common law so I completely understand why they want extra proof. In the original application we forgot to send the statuary declaration of Common Law, so we sent that off last night on my GC account. I’m 99% sure that’s the proof they were looking for; something in legal rights.

Ok thanks :) We got our AOR on March 21st and then yesterday they asked for additional documents. Presuming MR and SA will come through once they receive these? They also asked us to pay the RPRF yesterday too as we did not pay it upfront! Wonder if that’s good? Usually they ask for that at the end

We sent our additional documents last night, anyone know how long it may take for these to be reviewed and if we will have an update about it? Also, on ECAS it says “we started processing your application on March 20th 2019”. Anyone know what this means?

You should be good!! It’s not that they will return it, they just need more proof. We aren’t worried!

We’re not worried as it’s very common for them to ask of more proof for common law. What did you send off as proof? Have you got AOR yet? We had ours. Presuming after this they will send the rest like SA and MR :)

They’ve asked for general proof, nothing in particular. We sent a lot of proof off and have a lot more we can send in, but the main one is previous rental agreements I feel so they know 100% we are common law. We are also getting a Statuary Declaration of CommonLaw today to send off that will he...
