    Indirect route from India

India to London (Heathrow) is allowed with a PCR test from India as long as you plan on airside transit. Before you can board your flight for next leg of the journey, you will have to check entry/transit rules. Currently, entry to Canada requires a PCR from a 3rd country so you will have to...

    Indirect route from India

Airside transit means that you don't enter UK or clear immigration. I reached out to British Airways to clarify and they don't have a problem with passengers transiting airside. The problem lies with Canada entry requirements - PCR tests from India are not currently permitted. According to the...

US B-1 Visa with an approved I-140 for a Canadian PR

I can wait until the appointments open up. The vaccine rollout may open up additional capacity in the future. Thank you for your responses. I was worried that my cross-border paper tax form was lost (after being delivered by UPS) since it does not show up on "where is my refund" webpage. But it now looks like there are several cross-border tax returns that have not bee processed.

Experience with US federal tax refund delays

Thanks for your response. I mentioned paper filing since the tax professionals I hired mentioned that non-resident filings can only be done through a paper filing. My paper filing for the state refund was processed already.

working remotely from Canada while on H1B

A slightly different question- Is it more expensive for companies to switch an employee to the Canadian payroll from a US payroll? My company told me *they* have to pay higher taxes for me and increases the employee cost. My company has offices in both countries. I have a H1B and have a...
