I was advised from the call centre that the new law will be fully enforced during the second half of 2015. 3 agents informed me that if my application is in the CIC office on the 30th of June/2015, It will be processed according to the old law.

Today I had another affirmation that if they receive my application @ the last day of June/2015 it will be processed according to the old law.

The problem is that "Approximately" doesn't mean any cut off date. Probably that's why the agents are saying two different months June or July 2015. The implementation date is not clear yet.

Today an agent told me that the implementation date will be in July/2015, so if somebody apply before July it will be the old requirement for residence for them. There is a reason why the official statement say "Approximately one year"
