Same case for me. Dependent got visa but still waiting for primary, it's been 2 weeks now. I think they are doing background checks. That could be the only reason for the delay.

Just an update -- I got my mom's passport back with 2 yrs visa. Got ppr may 2 for my mom, still waiting for a decision for my dad.. Thanks

Applied on Apr 2 for my parents. got request for my mom but no updates yet for my dad. Quite a few are in the same boat..

Maybe if the visa is issued only for 6 months and you don't visit, you can justify. But when they give visa for 2 or 3 years and you don't visit, I think the chances are very less.

I submitted for the dependent yesterday.. Did you already receive your passport back for the dependent? Whats the usual timeline for visa stamping??

No not yet.. I will wait until this week for an update. cause seems like a few are having the same situation. so i think its quite normal...

Hello Everyone I applied online for visit visa for my parents on April 2. Received passport request for my mom on Apr 28 but no updates yet for my dad. My dad is primary applicant. Not sure why the status is still in progress. Anyone have similar experiences?? Thanks
