Hi I called Canada Border Services Agency & they said its 2 years. I also messaged on Facebook to canadian immigration. Their answer is as under : Hi If your father's passport was not stamped and he holds a supervisa, his default approved stay in Canada is two years. Hope this helps!

They are saying it was a yellow paper, not blank but with squares on it. They wrote their date of births & 1 year, might be their names too

They were given a paper with both date of births & there was written 1 year. & then they took that paper while exiting. I don’t know that paper was their insurance record or visitor record.
