LMIA's are difficult to get and involve a LOT of work by the employer so a lot of them don't want to do it. you can only try though, see what they say.

LMO was replaced with LMIA. the procedures are probably the same. I never looked into LMO's though so I'm not completely sure what they involved.

Apply without LMIA? go for provincial nomination? Depends on your situation.

yep you'd still need an LMIA. they need to advertise for 4 weeks on three advertising platforms. the adverts need to remain up throughout the entire process. one of the adverts needs to be on job bank. they need to interview and try to get Canadians to fill the role. only if they can prove that...

Its actually got to stay valid throughout the entire application. if it expires part way through your information is no longer correct.

I think the next one will be high too, seems to be a lot over 800 points entering now. but i think after that one it'll drop due to the length of time it takes for either an LMIA/PNP to be approved, there won't be many of them. Kind of hoping they'll do two draws in Feb but we'll see.

its not confusing. you send WES a copy of your degree and an English/French translation if necessary. Get your college to send them either a diploma supplement or your transcripts. thats it.

the first draw was purely people with LMIA's or PNP nominations. Can't be many of them left in the pool now and considering how long they take to be approved, the next couple draws are probably going to have to be for lower points..
