I have the same experience, my wife (dependent) got her passport request 4 days after submission our application, however mine (main) is still in progress. Apparently CIC check application one by one by one not as the whole application.

Actually we both are Iranian passport holders.

Hi, today I received a reply on my email. As you said they mention that my application is under background verification . Once that is completed they can do further processing. However they haven't mention how long more it would take.

I already sent CSE but haven't received any reply from them. How long does the background check normally take?

My wife and I had exactly the same timeline as well, except for my wife that received her pass request after 4 days of the fake update, and I haven't yet. Apparently no one is responsible there.

I've got another question. Do you recommend me to wait until I receive passport request as well and send both our passports by post to the embassy? or send my wife's pass right now and send my passport whenever I receive my request letter?
