You should be able to travel with both passport, Old one with visa in and new one as blank passport. Based on my personal experience, Last year had some what similar situation where my old passport which has Canadian visa( TRV) got damaged and then while being in India i have to get another...

From Personal Experience: Able to enter in Canada using two passport where damaged has valid visa. Thanks @ newtoexpressentry for your comment.

Hi All, My passport got recently damaged and it has valid work permit stamp on it(valid until 2020). As per law i can't travel with damaged passport and have to apply for new passport. So the question, do i need to go through visa stamping procedure on new passport as well or i should be fine if...
