Fsw Outland, India. Yours? Had another query as well- does the bg check only include security snd criminality or verification of employment, job etc? The employment verification etc does happen much earlier right?

for CEC and other inland candidates, I think the bg goes into progress much earlier compared to Outland ones. Check out the post by legal falcon on page 17 of this thread.

Well...for me, the eligibility has been 'review In progress'since March. What I meant was if the bg is kin progress, then how come the eligibility review is still on. From what I've gathered bg is pretty much one of the last steps.

Ok guys..... Logged into my cic account after two days and the bg is 'in progress'. Please update the spreadsheet. I have a query - Though the bg is in progress; it also says, eligibility - review in progress. Any thoughts on this??

Now most of us have crossed the 4 month period since AOR, myself over four and a half. The question is - does cic take 6 months to reject an application too? Or are rejections sent out earlier? I'm sure both the cases happen, but what is the proportion? Once you are beyond thr 4-5 month priod...

I am only 40 days from completing the six month duration, since my AoR was on the 1st of March, and my BG status is still 'not needed at this time'!! That's worrying!!

Well....atleast those who got an AOR in the beginning of March could expect a PPR in August, I guess.

---Considering the dates mentioned by you...hopefully my bg should go in progress in the next 8-10 days or latest by month end...since my AOR was on the 1st March.

Four and a half months since AOR....and absolutely no update since passing the medicals on the 3rd March. This is going slower than I thought!!!

Quite an informative thread!! Here's the query of someone can help... I submitted my app on 1st March, got an aor on the same day and passed the Medicals on the 3rd March. Can someone please tell me when does ECAS get activated ( after receiving the aor)? Has anyone's ecas been activated...
