Please renew your passport. As your passport will expire in May 2014, then you again have to transfer study permit on a new passport.So, its better if you do it now in order to avoid hiccups later. You have enough time for the renewal as you are targeting Jan 2014.

There is nothing like that... think like a sane person. My friend collected his passport from VFS Chandigarh. And FYI all the passports are dispatched from VFS Chandigarh if one has applied through VFS CHD.

I am expecting them to work over the weekends like I do sometimes when there is a backlog ... :D :D

:-) strike is not over dude, they started working but at a slower pace... But it is quite evident that for this entire week we only saw the visa processed for June 3,4,5 applicants.....

Send them case specific query.Though they are not replying it anymore.But, that's the only thing you can do right now or ask the VFS guys what is happening and update all of us.
