There is no time limit to process a citizen application. The amount of time, 24 or 36 months, mentioned on the CIC site is average time of completed 80% applications in 2013. This time will change next year as well, may increase or decrease depending on the processing time required in 2014. Hope...

I agree with you, but want to rephrase something. Definitely they are working on our files, but they don't find a easy route to invite us to a ceremony. No decision is also a decision, we have learned this through our countless experience, here and there.

Many RQed members on this forum already got oath letters within three months after taking test, that took place within 24 months, way before of estimated 36 months waiting period. Even a few of them received the oath letters a day before when they were told that they would be waiting for 36...

One reason of the slowdown may be the ongoing summer vacation for the high profile government officials. There are other issues too, I think.
