    *** March 2020 INLAND Spouse Sponsorship ***

So after the medical exam, what's the next step in the PR process? I wonder if they will really complete the processing by the ~12 month timeframe as indicated on their site.

Thanks. My wife just got the notification within the last hour. Huge relief!

March 4, still no medical request. Did the request come to you guys in the form of an email?

Anyone? In particular, March applicants who had their OWP returned, which would have had to have been resubmitted to the Edmonton office sometime in early October.

Question for all here. What does it mean on the GCKey account when it says "We have started processing your background check"? Basically, I'm wondering why it is a milestone in the processing of the PR application (and is a column in the Google spreadsheet), as opposed to when this status reads...

For any March applicants who got their OWP returned and had to re-send this app to the Edmonton office -- have you heard back? We sent ours back on Oct. 8th but still no acknowledgment of receipt or anything... Starting to think it was pointless to send this back in and should have just waited...

Try these instructions, zapzyder (if you haven't already): https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/how-to-link-an-application-to-cic-account-step-by-step-instruction.619724/ We were also having trouble linking until I saw this. Trick was to use my wife's (PA)...

I think the way to check this is to look at the application # on the top right hand side of the BIL. If it's the same # as the app. # in the PR AOR, then it's PR-related. I assume yours is PR related just based on the timing. We also received a BIL a few days ago and it looks like other March...

I was hoping that the increase in staff at CIC Mississauga would accelerate processing times back to around the 12 month mark, but you're probably right.

For anyone having trouble linking their application, this worked wonderfully for us: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/how-to-link-an-application-to-cic-account-step-by-step-instruction.619724/ Was having trouble before reading this. Having to use the PA's...

    ****October 2020 Inland Spousal Sponsorship****

If you do end up getting it sent back, if it's any consolation, I don't imagine you will be waiting nearly as long as those earlier in this thread (March applicants) who waited 6-7 months only to get theirs sent back. The turn-around time I imagine has to be a lot quicker now without the...

Thanks, that's encouraging. I was wondering as I received the sponsor AOR via email but my wife/PA didn't receive anything. The discrepancy on ECAS where it looks like the sponsor forms are further along than the PA forms are also a bit confusing (it says that my forms are processing, but my...

For those who got their whole applications returned (PR and OWP), was there ever a status posted for you on ECAS? We got our OWP returned about 4 weeks ago. On ECAS, the PR application status for the sponsor (me) has 3 listed points saying when the app was received, when they started processing...

I want to ask you guys who got paper OWP recently

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=844&top=4 I saw this too for the first time and I'm concerned as my wife wants to work in the healthcare field when she gets her OWP. Now there's apparently another long, arduous wait in order for her to do so after she even gets the...

Thanks for the info on this. I called a Service Canada agent and he said the same thing. Do you know how long after you received the biometrics instruction letter did the person call you to make an appointment? We received the letter yesterday and are wondering how long we can expect to wait...

It's frustrating for sure. We are really hoping that sending it directly to the Edmonton office means it won't take them several (4-6) months to process the OWP. However I read in the February inland thread that someone sent their OWP there in late August and they were only just able to link...

Cool, thanks for the reply. Gotcha, I thought yours had been approved already. Yes, hopefully they will work quickly to approve these OWPs that have to be re-sent into the EDM office. We were worried that we would have to wait another 4-5 months.

Hey hiboyoung. Just wondering as we also had to resend my wife's OWP to the Edmonton office... How long did they take to give you OWP approval after you re-sent it? If I read your timeline correctly, was it ~1.5 months? And when you got the approval notice, was it via email? The Edmonton office...
