addn documents will delay the process if sent without NDVO requesting u.. but now u r in a position that if u don renew ur passport now, they may come up saying ur passport is less than 6 months validity and hence we cannot stamp. at that situation it will definitely delay ur file. instead u can...

if u havent sent during ur initial submission, they would request one. anything above 6 months is what they say in the forms! u can very well get ppr without it. cant expect how NDVO works. ;) :D

for visitor visa, u dont need to if u apply online. i applied online for my extension, i submitted without sign. it asks for ur electronic sign once u submit all ur forms online. that wil be ur E sign. so u r good! hope this helps!

MP support letter for visitor visa doesn't add any points. i read in this forum only. that letter cannot influence any decision. probably it may add negative points as in recommendation. make ur cover letter stronger. that is the only thing that speaks 4 u. yes u can apply online or in person...
