No Idea how long it will take. And I think the best thing is to call the embassy or send them an email explaining your situation and see if they have any options for you.

I wish they take the passport after the interview. If they do not, I will start questioning their decision. I know sometimes it is just a matter of them needing sometime to process the information they get in the interview. However, we will keep being worried I guess till we get the stamp :)
