Feb 2017 applicant here. I just received my GCMS notes. There has been no movement since my last set of notes 3 months ago. Last update in the notes was file transfer to LVO on April 11th. Eligibility, security, criminality all "Not Started" and paper file location is still "In Transit".

My background check hasn't started yet. It's the same as yours: "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made."

Thanks for posting what your MP told you but I agree with MM345, I highly doubt that notes would cause any delay in processing at all. The notes are electronically generated from the management system and shouldn't take more than a few minutes to generate.

Of course, I wholly believe that applications should be processed in a first in, first out model so seeing remaining 2016 applicants progressing is great to see! I based my guess of Sept based on the statistics table in the spreadsheet. You can clearly see the low amount of DM in July/August...

No change unfortunately. I think LVO has gone back to process remaining 2016 applicants as people are getting doc/re-med requests. My personal guess is that they won't process anymore 2017 applicants till Sept now........ I hope I am wrong though. :(

It is the date that we opened the document. The thing is though... if I open the same document today then the date read updates to todays date. Maybe CIC uses it internally to verify that people have viewed the document.

You don't need to translate the chats. Just make sure to show chats from each month so that the length of relationship is obvious. For pictures, I can't say anything. Senior members sent in lots of pictures and advocate doing that but the new application kit specifically states a maximum of 20...
