Hey, my wife is in Canada now and she is having similar problem. She went to the SIN office and she was told she cannot get a SIN card because she is not allowed to work off campus. Does your study permit state that you are not allowed to work off campus?

Actually that's what most of us believe, but there is not fact to support that. A lot of those who got refusals got it withing a month. Anyone who thinks otherwise should educate us on this :)
