BOWP and Closed WP work independently. You can apply BOWP now as you are eligible for extending(becoz 4 month or less). As your company will not extend your closed wok permit as they dont want to you here as contract is ending. So no worries and extend your BOWP if you think your PR will not...

You can still Apply for new BOWP based on your Existing BOWP. It does not matter if you Closed Permit is valid till later this year.

you should have asked them to send it directly. they are extremely fast... I am not sure why you asked them to send it to you..

It should take only 1 weeks or max 2 weeks to return.

This is good sign as they are satisfied with Employer answer. Now they want to check your criminal record through RCMP.
