They never tell you how long the process will take. They are just customer service agents. They have very few access.

Hello All, August 19 applicant! Did upfront medical in april 2017 on feb 9th my medical status changed from passed to if you need medical exam we will send you message. I called them they told me officer send it to medical dept for extension as it was expiring in 2 months. I called them again...

I don't have that information as per customer service agent they send my medical to Ottawa for extension.

Not yet my cic changed from passed to if you need medical exam we will send you instructions on 9th Feb. I called them and they told me this, so either i will get extension or they will send me new request to do it again. All depends on the medical dept. in Ottawa.

That is the reason why you got the BGIP as you medical is good for more than 10 months enough to issue you an immigrant visa. I did in April 2017 good for another 2 months, as per them they send it to Ottawa for extension on 9th Feb.

Upfront medical!! My point of view! If they know it will delay the application process they should update this on their website in upfront medical section link below...

Thanks, i dont know why the delayed our application. Even people from September start receiving their PPR.

Can you check if your medical status is changed just now, mine is changed from passed to you do not need the medical exam right now. I did upfront medical in april 2017. August 19 applicant BG still N/A.

i have exact same situation.

She is on the application since day 1 when i filed my Provincial Nominee.

Lesson learned - Don't do upfront medical it will slow down you process!!

But mine is not expired yet, i did in April 2017 and Passed in May 2017.
