Why dont you send your passport from your holiday destination, get your Visa stamp and land whenever you plan to come back to canada. I dont think that should be a problem for you, unless you are from a country that restricts mailing passports like India.

hey chatdips, thanks a ton mate for the gcms. coz i filed mine on 3rd of july just before you. so im assuming im almost there as well. this is great news and relief. you should hear something by this month or me....

so spoke to another cic customer service rep. He says theres no problem in travelling as long as i have visa to come back, and says i can send my passport from anywhere i want to as long as they receive it. So screw this process, i'm going home. ;D

i didn't bother continuing the conversation as i realised she isn't talking sense, and anyways she isn't a Visa officer to be knowing everything. so i rest my case and hung up.
