problem is i cant renew my passport from canada as my temp resident permit expired. i applied for an extension but its in progress.. and i cant renew passport on implied status apparently..

they have no idea what they are talkin about.. you can get a better idea by following this forum.. the june applicants have seen some progress so its safe to say that they have resumed working on our applicatiions.. we should hear something soon .

Your passport has to have atleast 6 months validity before u send it. My friend sent his passport woth 3 months remaining and cic asked him to send a new one.

U have already applied for ur pr. Where u work after that or gey unemployed after that is of mo use to cic as ur file is already under process with a previous work experience.

once hes a minister he represents canada.. not just his riding.

CEC and FSW both dont exist anymore.. they both have been substituted by express entry. and anyway if u applied under FSW it takes years to get your pr where as cec took one year. cant say the same anymore.. but anyway even if you go on FSW now it directs you to express entry.

i have a good feeling about this month.. i think things will start to speed up soon. dont get excited its just my gutt feeling.

i wouldn't advice withdrawing your existing application. you have waited almost 13 months.. means your file is at least under process even though its taking ages.. if you want to put in another application i've heard you can do it but i have many friends who couldn't meet the points requirement...

i was in the same boat.. i had my work permit but visa expired. so i just applied for a work visa and they gave me a visit visa instead to enter.. so it doesnt really matter just apply for the Temporary resident visa which will help you leave india and enter canada on the basis of the work permit.

hey do you think its safe to just leave the country and get landing done on the way back.. when you can just go across the border and get it done in mins.. i was also thinking of doing the same.. leaving canada once i get my landing visa and getting pr on the way back. but some ppl suggested...
