Yes, if the amount is less than $10,200 CAD then Scotia Bank will reject it and send it back to your account in India. But if you specifically mentioned in the A2 Form that you wanted to send 10,200$, then no need to worry. Bank will take care of that.

When I filed my GIC with Vijaya Bank, I mentioned 10,200 CAD in the A2 Form. I told the Manager that extra charges should be deducted from my Bank account. And it happened exactly. I filed my GIC on 15th and got it on 22nd itself.

One last thing if you don't mind. My agent told me to include Original Passport among the documents that I will drop at the VFS office of Hyderabad. Is it okay to drop my passport in the package?
