CIC started processing our application for spousal sponsorship (outland). Both of us live outside Canada. Is it wise for him to apply for a visitor visa to Canada? would that somehow affect the application (say he does not get a visitor's visa)?

That is actually a great advice! I will check it. Hopefully it would be less than that! And will try to get my husband do the medicals as soon as possible. It is that time of the year where things get hectic and is hard to take a day off to do them. Thanks again!

I put the details name of the PA and the city and country left out the passport number cz it says this or that. Did not use the UCi number althougjlh i had it didnt work for me using it. Only worked after trying the name and city.

Plzzz help me.. I am still having trouble linking the app... i have received an email sending me the UCI and application number but as i read somewhere they said that the application number starting with F is temporary. Is that true? I cannot link using either the UCI&app number or his details...

I have been using my account under my name which is the sponsor's account/name. would that be why it is not linking? Teied not putting a UCI wont let me go theough. Must put it. I am at my last try :(
