I think you can safely assume the Sponsorship Application as been approved. Otherwise your application would have been refused right there, without the need for a medical or Police Reports.
Last month we received an email requesting medicals. A couple of days later we were asked for the fees and police reports. Everything has been completed and returned to CIC apart from one police report which we haven't received yet. Our online file to was updated to 'Medical received'.
Mucus is spit into a sterile container then a culture is taken to find out if/what bacteria is lurking in the lungs. I have no idea why the results should take so long...I thought results are usually taken within a few days/a week.
Have you requested the GCMS notes from CIC? It may be coincidence but within a few days of receiving ours a few weeks ago...we received requests for medical and police reports. Also a notation was placed on our online file that our sponsor has been approved.
By coincidence we received the GMS notes a couple of weeks ago and within a few days received request for medical. A day later we were asked to provide police reports and sponsor's fee. Medical done, police reports requested, sponsor's fee paid.
I am trying to apply for our GCMS notes online. It asks for client ID # in the format of xxxx-xxxx. I have no idea what this is. All I have is the application # Fxxxxxxxxx. Without the client ID # I cannot submit the form.
Any ideas please?
Our application says the same but the dates are earlier. It still says In Process, even though the agent at the border has told us our sponsor has been approved and our application is well under way. Neither our sponsor or is have received any notifications.
We are the parents...not the sponsor. We are UK and US citizens...so is our sponsor...she is also a Canadian PR...soon to be citizen. We came to Canada two years ago on the Super Visa as US citizens.
Only 1 year. Said looking at our application that would probably be long enough but if not they would extend it next April.
Interesting that our sponsor had been approved 2 months ago but we haven't heard anything.
Today we crossed the border to get our Super Visa extended for another 2 years. The officer said she could see our PR application but couldn't give us much detail. She said she could say things were happening with our application and it was underway and that our sponsor had been approved on...
The CIC website says our application was received on 2nd January 2014. We applied within Canada...a courier hand delivered our application to Mississauga. He was waiting for the doors to open and our application was one of the first 12 received...but there is still no change in our status...
I called the CIC helpline yesterday and was told if I hadn't heard anything 27 months after sending in the application to call again. The guy said before 27 months they cannot view the application...after 27 months they can. Suppose I'll have to wait until April 1st.
