Quick update - our ecas changed to DM on the PA side, and our MyCIC account shows all as closed/passed and the last line reads that the application has been approved. I wish everyone still waiting all the best throughout the process.

Just a quick update - we sent out my wife's passport to Ottawa the other day. Our ecas still shows In Process on the PA side and our MyCIC account also still shows In Progress for the background check.

So we received PPR, and my wife is with me here in Canada visiting. We're going to submit her passport to Ottawa and I wanted to ask, once we get it back with the visa and COPR, what happens next? Can we flagpole at the US border? And is there a timeline for that? Would my wife need a visa to...

You can do that, or do it upfront before you submit your application and the clinic will forward the results to CIC. You'll then need to send them the medical receipt form to show that you've done it already.

We didn't request for notes. Do you know if they only call the PA for PPR if they're based in the Philippines, or even if they have an overseas number?

Would anyone know, if the MyCIC application gets updated, like in our case where the background check changed to in progress, does an email get sent before or afterwards? It seems we got an email about that update a few hours later but I thought it was for something else.

Our ecas is still the same; just says in process.

Do they only call the PA if they're based in the Philippines?

We don't have a representative, but my wife brought her phone and the number is working and switched on. I updated our ecas addresses just in case there was any mail and it doesn't get missed.

We weren't asked for any additional documents. Yes, background check is now in progress.

Hopefully, it's been a long wait for all of us. Are they calling now for PPR? Don't they still send an email?

We got AOR2 on June 1st, so it's been almost 3 months. I'll update as soon as we hear anything else.
