seems each medical case is different, mine ran smoothly. because you did your medical for work reasons it makes total sense to use same results rather than paying the fees again 3 months later

I have not received PCC request. but I was asked to send updated backgrounds form. because its a PCC, I suggest you call 1-888-242-2100 and verify how would they like to receive it. id they need the originals mailed they will tell. there is no harm to send them both by mail and email.
