I agree, it is quite a challenge to find out if the DD has been encashed. You need a contact in the Bank, who can help you find out the status of the DD.

The RPRF was sent to CIC on 24.02.2012. It was recevied by CIC on 28.02.2012. Encashed on 15.03.2012

You need to check with the issuing Bank. They can check and let you know if the RPRF has been encashed
