The request sounds strange, maybe it was the use of the term self employed(which may be strange to them) that triggered their interest. Does the spouse by any chance have a registered business. That may help as proof. Probably more experienced seniors can offer more options.

Amen! I am an October applicant, expectantly waiting for PPR. Medicals done 22nd July Ecas updated with medicals received 5th August Still Awaiting PPR Wonder what's causing the slight delay cos we haven't even been asked to submit any additional docs.
