All, I just heard from my employer who was preparing to file WP for PR application, that normal WP (Intercompany WP) are now will also yield points for PR application. As per them this change has been brought very recently. Is this true?

I understand your point and appreciate your suggestion. Only challenge is that, when I say 2171, my official exp# is w.r.t IT manager. My employer will not give me give me exp# letter related to 2171. Even though they can say IT analyst, my designation in that letter will still be IT manager...

Thanks Ashu for reply. I wasn't sure of 2nd Jan and neither my lawyer told me so. And hence thought to check. My official designation is IT Manager, hence my lawyer put in that category. Do you suggest or can I put myself in 2171 category?
