No i don't really rely on the TA/RA now :). I think u r right they r waiting for the background check report even my RCMP screening also shows nothing :(

According to my GCMS, I never had assessed or assigned to SL. There is no SL in my file. In note section RK requested for documents and then assigned to FA. I got the first document request from RK, even though I had submitted them before due date again they have asked me for those documents...

I am assuming you got those 5 adaptability (in CIO) points for ur 2yrs of PhD but you haven't any Canadian degree yet right? Unfortunately I haven't heard anyone got those ever expecting 5 points unless you finish your masters here in Canada.

Follow this link ....... http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-personal.asp CAIPS/GCMS note same thing. It usually takes 30 Calender days and mostly we prefer e-mail. Although there are some other option will appear when you fill up the request form. Hope this helps.
