    Thank you!

icemwaahh, When did you submit the request? And what is the print date on the file? They have not been releasing anything in July due to technical issues, so it seems like the 'issues' were finally resolved.

    Travelling after citizenship test

You can get an RQ after the test, but it is unlikely to be due to travelling in that period - CIC simply would not know yet. But since some time ago CIC have instructions to try to resolve as many issue without RQ as possible.

    April 2015 citizenship Applicants

No, this will not be an issue unless CIC suspect they were not day trips - if, for example, there is no entry stamp/ICES record. Day trips - entry back into Canada on departure day - should not be declared, as indicated on the residence calculator itself.

    April 2015 citizenship Applicants

There were regular candidates (or they did not volunteer this information) who applied in March and are citizens already. This may have to do with the local/secondary office, but my application according to the latest date was only transferred to MTL on 25 June. There was a note before...

    April 2015 citizenship Applicants

I made a request for urgent processing, but seeing the timelines of most new applicants I would say it did not matter all that much. To request urgent processing, you must have one of the reasons that are listed on the website. I do not know if something changed after the new rules came in...

Asked to get my stamps on the passport translated during the interview

If the CIC employee did not say 'See, it says here to translate everything, you did not', then it is not required for the interview. They would not miss an opportunity to stumble someone over their insane regulations. They did not ask me to translate any of mine, and apparently did not notice...

    may 2015 applicants for citizenship

Yep, there is also another note on their website: How often is the information on the Client Application Status (CAS) service updated? CAS is updated daily. So do not trust anything CIC tell you :)

group complaint to the minister for faster processing??? interested?

A complaint to the minister will not change anything. He knows what is happening and he is actually proud of it - he is convinced that CIC has never worked better. Just read his speeches at the Parliament. The only thing that could have some impact is taking them to court; there are several...

Because I have their instructions, as I have mentioned before.

    April 2015 citizenship Applicants

You can request CIC to provide you all their documentation related to Citizenship programme, specifically all manuals used by CPC-Sydney. It is around 950 pages, 500 after all exempted information is severed. I do not have any explanations as I am not from CIC, but the main reasons could be...

    April 2015 citizenship Applicants

It is CPC - Sydney who forward applications to the local office, in batches of 25. There is nothing mentioned about local offices being able to put forwarding on hold. All the checks are initiated by CPC-Sydney. Usually they do not transfer the file to the local office until they have all...

    LOT line disappeared

Montreal. Tell me about weird, pretty much every single thing that happens at CIC is weird :) And without ATIP requests I cannot even check which one is true. Anyway, not much to be done before they invite for the test or ask for some nonsense.

    LOT line disappeared

Mine disappeared and reappeared with a different date - 25 June 2015 instead of the original 7 May 2015.

    useless ATIP request

I can only recommend to submit a complaint about it to the Privacy Commissioner, just like I did. It can be done online and takes not more than 10 minutes, but could teach CIC that mistreating future citizens (or just any human beings, for that matter) is not going to slip through the cracks all...
