Thanks Mayasita, but doesn't my partner need to wait for her PR card so she can use it to re-enter Canada if she goes abroad? If so, how long does it normally take to get your PR card? Or can she travel before getting the PR card and re-enter without any problems? Thanks S

I understand that. She needs to enter the country before March 2011 so the PR doesn't expire, but what happens afterwards? How long can she stay in Canada legally. Say if we enter Canada in February and the PR is only valid for one more month, how can she renew her right to live in Canada...
