So this would count only as a "short absence?" It's okay that its not going to be primarily for buisness or family, just mainly for pleasure? Just re-assure me please. I need to know if I should cancel this trip or not.

I'm not talking about the time AFTER we submit the application. What I'm concerned about is before, while we are still accumulating time to get the to 1 year mark. Would taking three weeks out of the country affect that? Our preference was to apply inland when the time comes.
