    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Received AOR email last night. Application received on May 20th. We've been nervous since we mailed it through Canada Post regular mail so do don't have any confirmation that it was delivered successfully. What a relief. I'm the applicant. My sponsor hasn't received anything.

I believe that is ok. I called CIC about that before I sent in my application. I was told to send the application with a letter explaining the reason why the police certificate is not included. Ironically my spouse (the applicant) was asked this question going through immigration at the airport. That was before we made the application. The answer we gave was "We will move somewhere else." The officer then said: "Don't worry. You will get it." Of course the officer at the border...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I have a few questions: 1. Without AOR, how do people know for sure the application is received? Through courier tracking? (I see in the spreadsheet that there is a application received date and AOR date.) 2. Is AOR sent by email or regular mail? If it takes 3~4 months for AOR to arrive, it...

Second that. Please Google for "CIC manuals ip06-eng.pdf" and read section 5.6. (Somehow the post here doesn't allow me to put in links. Don't know how other people did it.) Here is what it says: 5.6. Inland applications for permanent residence In situations where an applicant who has...

About implied status, see section 5.6 of CIC manuals ip06-eng.pdf. (Sorry that the site doesn't allow posting links.) This document is almost 4 year old. I hope nothing has changed regarding this.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Anyone had experience having police fingerprint forms "notarized by Notary Public" and then "authenticated by DFAIT (Department of Foreign Affairs & International Trade)"? It would then be "legalized by embassy" before it can be sent to the police department of the country for PCC. Thanks.
