For those of you who are concerned about receiving a letter about your file being transferred to CIC-M and haven't been keeping up here on the forums as to why you're getting it, here's the bulletin that gave the information (when, why, how, etc.)...

I did get an email from our lawyer Saturday that he received a letter saying our file had been transferred. Not sure when it was sent since it goes straight to his P.O. Box. I'm sure if you haven't gotten yours yet it will come soon!

Hi there! Yes we are! Specifically we're in Aylmer, which is nice because I can either drive a bit and get to main Gatineau area, or drive a bit and get to Ottawa. ;D Good to know there are a couple of us around the same area!

We're actually in Quebec, just across the river from Ottawa...so unfortunately even after Canadian immigration gets all their stuff straightened out, it still has to go through Quebec before it's all finalized. I actually didn't renew my visitor visa after I had it extended the first time...

I can sympathize, completely. I've actually been here with my husband (then still boyfriend) since November 2012, and waited until after we married to file our paperwork in the first week of June 2013. Because of an error on our paperwork, it was then pushed back to the received date of August...
