sondjoe: I think both PNP and CEC are equally fast, CEC might be slightly faster (since you do not need to do the provincial part). If you are eligible under CEC, I would go for CEC, especially if the employer is hesitant.
Hi Lucas, yes, my common-law partner did the same and got a work permit for 2 1/2 years without any problems. If your study permit was approved, do not hesitate and apply for work permit for her.
Yeah, receiving medicals does not guarantee anything these days. I received my medicals in late August but according my CAIPS notes I received later that year in December, my file had not been touched by them time they printed the notes. I saw people getting rejected after medicals for various...
So sorry to hear that. I would not trust the person anymore cause it might cost you the possibility to stay in Canada if she screws another application up. Can you file some complaint? She did not do her job the way she was supposed to.
I got my passport request on Jan 17 (applied June 2). I paid the RPRF in advance. Not sure if it helped but it can not do any harm to pay it in advance.
I sent my application on May 17th and received my PPR last Tuesday. I was transferred to LA in mid December. They started processing my application and I received my PPR only like 3 days after that date so things go really fast once you see "in process". Fingers crossed, guys!

I still doubt that somebody got rejected because of not mentioning 1-week trip. None of the people I know mentioned trips and overlaping activities and none of the got rejected. Your friend must have done something bad, otherwise it is highly weird.
Was he applying through CEC? Cause Travel History was not required, only the Personal history so I do not think every trip needs to be mentioned in the Personal history.
Well, she said that ONLY the main activity should be mentioned. I was a university student and went to US for three months twice. I know I should have checked before she sent it out however I did not, my mistake. I went back to ask her about that and she said that only the main activity should...
This scared me a bit. I have kind of the same problem. I hired a consultant who did the application on my behalf and she kind of excluded few things from my application. I gave her my personal history and she did not included quite a lot from it (I found out 6 months later from my FOSS and...
