Sparkle, Just to let you know, so you can update the spreadsheet, that the sponsor my application was approved on June 7th and ecas says file transferred to Buffalo June 13.

My wife is the sponsor and I log into ecas using her details and the client ID. ECAS says that my application has been received in Buffalo on June 13th. This update took about 10 days after my wife received the email from CIC confirming she was approved as sponsor. I hope this helps

Are you using client id and sponsor name or applicant name. For me, I am the applicant and I can not log onto ecas but I can log onto ecas using my wife's detail (the sponsor). I hope this helps

What is CAIPS? Can you please explain? I feel for you, I can imagine how annoyed you must be....trying to get the FBI clearance took me nearly two months.

My recommendation would be to send just one envelope...I think they look at all the documents, which means they will have to open everything at once. Just organise the paper work so that it is in three different sections the way you want it. Again this is just my opinion...not sure if there is...

It depends on the country...I live in US but needed criminal record clearance from UK and Switzerland because I have lived there for more than 6 months since the age of 18. I was able to order this for the US, did not have to go to the country. I am assuming you can do the same from Canada

Just make sure your fingerprints are taken according to the FBI standards. The reason I say that is because my finger prints got rejected the first time. I had to resend before getting the all clear, because of the resending....this process took nearly 60 days to be completed.

Just checked the CIC website...it looks like they did not make much progress this week. The process time pushed up to 41 days and applications currently being processed are from Apr 29. This is a bit of reversal from the progress they made from last week
