Hi Guys, Another quick question. If you get a common-law permenant resident visa and then get married, how does that affect things? I'm assuming they can't stop you getting married but is it more complicated than just changing your name? Thanks

We are the same as you. We could've paid up front but didn't. We didn't ralise this could delay it for up to 8 weeks. It's a nightmare.

Thanks for the info. Do you know how long it usually takes for them to confirm they have received the payment. Although we aren't planning to go until May but I'd like to start booking flights etc.

Just got back from a weeks holiday and had secretly hoped our COPR would have been here. Unfortunately not! I see some people have had theirs through and a big congratulations!! Thanks, i'll know if it happens to us too. when we first applied we got our email saying my partener had been successful as the sponsor and it gave his address as Northern Ireland instead of Scotland....not sure how they got that from the application!! They changed it after a quick email though!!
